Beautiful Personalised Hand-made and Hand-Stamped items.
Is there something beautiful your child says to you that you would like immortalising, or maybe a favourite saying between friends, or perhaps wording that means so much to you.
Well we can stamp a huge variety of items with all of the above and so much more.
All items can be personalised with any quotations, sentiments, dates, names, etc.
Customers often ask crafters who Hand Stamp what it is they do and how they achieve their finished piece of work. I have written a few notes here to help you understand the process of what I do, as well as advice on how to order and postage prices.
Hand Stamping is exactly that. Every indent on your finished item is achieved through the use of individual metal letter, number or design punches which, with the aid of a heavy hammer, are stamped onto a metal blank.
Most often those blanks have been hand-cut and filed and then tumbled in a barrel to remove any jagged burs. Once stamped, the blanks are then inked with colour, where appropriate, re-tumbled for another two hours and then re-inked before the ink is ‘set’ in an oven for 30 minutes. Only then is each component assembled to create your finished item.
I make every effort to get the lettering as straight and evenly spaced as possible on each blank. However, because it is me doing the punching and not a machine, the lettering will not always be perfect. Personally, I find this adds to the effect and the individuality of the pieces.
Because of the nature of the materials, it is very hard to stamp on both sides of the blanks as, often, the punch marks will show on the reverse. This cannot be helped at all.
All items are wrapped in an organza bag or Tissue paper before being added to a small Gift box.
Larger items are protected in bubble wrap and tissue paper.
If there is anything you are looking for and cannot find then please do not hesitate to contact me so we can discuss your requirements.
